Is Abortion the Right Choice for You?

If you are facing an unplanned pregnancy, then you are probably aware there are three choices—abortion, adoption, and parenting. Abortion is the only option that means you can terminate the pregnancy. You might be wondering, is abortion the right choice for you?

The honest answer is—you are the only one who can make that decision. Don’t let others influence or pressure you with their advice.

At Pregnancy Care Clinic , we will not advise you on what choice to make. However, we can give you helpful information to consider as you work your way toward a confident decision. The decision you ultimately make should be the one that is best for YOU, not your parents, your significant other, or your friends.

Come in for Testing

Before you search any further, based on a home pregnancy test, come into Pregnancy Care Clinic for a no-cost pregnancy test. Let us confirm your at-home test results and if the results are positive, offer you a no-cost ultrasound to determine how far along you are.

An ultrasound will tell you if your pregnancy is viable . This is an important step–if your pregnancy isn’t viable, it will end in miscarriage, something that happens more often than you might expect. In fact, up to half of pregnancies end in miscarriage [1] and 80 percent of those occur in the first three months.

How do You Feel About the Pregnancy?

If your pregnancy is confirmed, then it’s the right time to start exploring your options. A good starting place is to write down how you feel about the pregnancy. Feelings and thoughts at this time can be chaotic and confusing, almost a roller coaster. Putting your thoughts to paper forces you to focus.

Once you have written down how you feel about the pregnancy in general, write down important information about each of your three options—abortion, adoption, and parenting. For instance, do you feel that you cannot even consider parenting at your age? Are you willing to continue the pregnancy, but don’t want to be a parent? Or maybe you have already formed an attachment and parenting is the only option you can see.

Everyone is different. Their answers are just as diverse. At Pregnancy Care Clinic, we will support you no matter which option you choose. As you work your way through this process, our advocates will be there for you, to answer any question you have, and to give you all the information you need.

What are Your Goals, Plans or Dreams?

Everyone has goals, plans, and dreams. As you consider your choices, now is a good time to envision what your future will look like should you choose each one of those options. What is important to you? Be honest with yourself so you can make an educated, but empowered decision for your future.

Abortion Education

If you are considering abortion, make sure to get the facts you need. Be educated and informed. Abortion is not a simple medical procedure . For many women, it is a life-changing event with significant long-term physical, emotional and spiritual consequences.
